Bridge is a subscription based BlackBerry application that enables synchronization and convenient online and offline access to Highrise from 37signals. User interactions are geared towards adding notes and triggering communication with contacts. While full editing and viewing of history etc are available, all interactions were tuned to require the smallest number of user interactions to provide the best user experience possible for a BlackBerry user.

Installation is currently only available to friends and family, but will be coming soon!

Features

Themes

The theme is changeable via the menu "Theme Preferences". All user interface components were created with careful attention design elements such as opacity providing the ability to render a tremendous amount of color variations.

• Several pre-configured themes are included.
• User may experiment and type in custom color codes based on desired company branding etc.

Main Tab Navigation

• Tabs in the header control primary navigation
• Tabs are dynamic and allow up to 4 recently view contacts to be present at one time.
• User may escape from the application and remain on the same tab (escape key).
• A contact tab may be closed with the menu item "close tab".

Contact Sidebar Navigation

• From a contact content panel, roll to the right and the sidebar will slide out.
• Modes are a way to dig deeper into contact functionality

• Hover over the mode icons in the sidebar to show the tool tips
• Click on element with the arrow icon to one-click trigger:
  • Phone call
  • Email
  • Map of the address

Contact List

• Auto filter by first or last name
• No need to focus on the filter field, just type/adjust the filter criteria while focused anywhere on the list.
• Select a contact to view from the list
• Select "Add New Company" to create a new company
• Select "Add New Person" to create a new person
• Call contact from the menu
• Email contact from the menu

Other Device Integration

• Add notes from:
  • BlackBerry Address Book
  • BlackBerry Email
  • BlackBerry Phone Call Log
• Incoming device interactions i.e. Add note from a native BlackBerry Application
  • Auto filter to find the appropriate contact
  • Allow for creating a new contact (company or person) without losing the context
  • Allow for the user to login if not already done without losing the context
  • Pre-populate forms (notes, new contacts) with information provided by native application context

Requirements

Current device restrictions Bridge for Highrise is currently exclusive to the BlackBerry Bold but will be tuned for versions back to 4.1.0 Running on any device other than the BlackBerry Bold is neither recommended nor supported at this time. While this application may currently run on earlier versions, it has only been tested with and tuned for the BlackBerry Bold. Future releases will be tuned for the older BlackBerry versions.

Configuration and Setup

There are three ways to utilize the application:

1. Utilize the demo account. From the login screen, click the menu button, choose "Demo Account" to prefill the information and click the sign in button.
2. If you are a current highrise user, you may fill in your information and sign in.
3. Setup a new free or paid highrise account at Highrise, obtain credentials, and sign in.
