Desktop Manager might not automatically prompt to update your Device Software (OS)
If you have downloaded a device software update, but you're desktop manager did not prompt you to perform the update, try this:
- Close Desktop Manager
- Rename "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Vendor.xml" to something like "Vendor.xml.old"
- Start Desktop Manager
- Plug in your device
Desktop Manager should now prompt you to perform the Device Software update.
