Uploading the Application Log

  1. The user should enter the application and press alt + LLL,
    • The log is retrieved via the same general method on the Storm, but it is a little more complicated due to the virtual keyboard:
      • If the virtual keyboard is not displayed, press the menu button and go to Show Keyboard
      • Hold the alt key down to enable "alt-lock"
      • Press the key that shows up in place of the "L" key three times. This is the "," key in portrait mode, and the double quote key in landscape mode.
  2. The log is automatically posted to the server.
  3. Once the upload process has started, the following message will be displayed:

    The MobileDevice is collecting your log information to send to the mobility server. The information will be sent when you have sufficient signal strength. Your device may become non-responsive for a short period of time while the log data is being collected.

  4. Upon a successful upload, the following message will be displayed

    Device log was successfully uploaded to the server.

  5. If the upload fails, the following message will be displayed

    Device log FAILED to upload to the server.
