FRANKLIN, Tenn., July 9, 2012 – Custom mobile application developer, Metova, Inc., announced today the promotion of Dave Lane to director of development. In his new role, Lane will lead Metova’s smartphone and tablet development projects, ensuring quality control and eliminating roadblocks.
Previously, as one of Metova’s lead developers, Lane built mobile and web solutions for some of Metova’s largest clients. He led teams and mentored other developers, giving them the tools needed to create valuable mobile solutions for Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Windows Phone platforms.
“For the last four years, Dave has continually improved our systems and development tools,” said Kevin Ross, president and founder of Metova. “His dedication, genuine passion for technology and commitment to self improvement has led to this much-deserved promotion.”
Prior to Metova, Lane was a web developer at High Caliber Services in Cookeville, Tenn. where he was responsible for implementing a lean inventory management system and maintaining quality control and employee management systems.
“Not only is Dave an effective app developer, he’s a natural teacher,” said Metova Vice President David McAllister. “He readily passes on his hard-earned knowledge to many of our developers, strengthening their skills and work for our clients.”
Lane has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Tennessee Technological University.
