Android and iOS app connects credit unions with on-the-go customers
FRANKLIN, Tenn. July 30, 2013 – Mobile app developer Metova has teamed up with CU Mobile Apps to create a customizable mobile app for credit unions. Available for Android and iOS platforms, the app is not your cookie cutter, white label offering. Rather, credit unions can get a fully custom app designed and built by Metova that uses the credit union’s images, color schemes and content. The first apps will be available in August.
Credit unions can use the app to:
- Keep members informed of events, specials and loan rates
- Send news and updates, push notifications and direct messages to customers
- Provide contact information, maps of branch locations and industry-specific ads for things like new loan rates
- Build custom forms to request feedback from users for surveys and more
- Allow customers to deposit checks remotely by using their phone’s camera to take a picture of the check
In the future, Metova and CU Mobile Apps plan to add mobile banking optimization for credit unions that have desktop banking sites.

Metova and CU Mobile Apps hope to have apps developed for 100 credit unions by the end of the year. Metova’s developer team, which includes approximately 30 developers, will be available for support on all of the credit union apps.
The apps are available in the Google Play Android Store, Apple’s App Store and the Amazon App Store for Kindle.
