Mobile App Developer Metova Promotes Carrie Gofron & Ben Coulston

FRANKLIN, Tenn. March 20, 2013 – Officials for the custom mobile app development firm Metova announced today the promotions of two top employees: Carrie Gofron and Ben Coulston. Gofron has been promoted to vice president of business development, and Coulston has been promoted to lead developer.

Carrie Gofron

Previously, as Metova’s director of business development, it was Gofron’s job to collaborate with Metova’s clients and provide custom software solutions that met their vision.

“Carrie has been Metova’s frontline communicator with current and prospective clients for over three years,” said Dave McAllister, president. “She has worked hard to bring new business in the door, and to explain Metova’s unique development process to companies interested in expanding their mobile offerings. She has been integral to our past and current growth.”

Prior to Metova, Gofron was a sales engineer at Picsel Technologies where she worked with OEMs and carriers to provide mobile software solutions. She was a member of the Motorola team over six years, during which she helped produce the BMW Roadside Assist system and the first-ever Motorola smartphone.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Iowa State University.

Ben Coulston

Coulston joined Metova as a developer in 2010, and creates mobile apps that help Metova’s clients adapt and take the lead in the mobile app marketplace. He works with Android, iOS, Flex, Flash and Java-based Web development projects.

As a lead developer, Coulston will continue his development work for the firm, as well as work with the lead development team to assist and mentor other developers.

“Ben has a passion for technology and learning, and he openly passes on that passion to Metova’s newer developers,” said David Lane, vice president of technology. “I couldn’t think of a better person to train our mobile developers and increase the camaraderie and culture of Metova.”

Coulston earned a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Auburn University. While at Auburn, he worked as a research assistant for the university. He also previously worked as a graphic designer for The Clarion newspaper in Scottsboro, Ala.
