When it became clear that COVID-19 was bringing about a swift change to work from home for a large portion of the U.S. workforce, we set out to better understand sentiment, trends and challenges of those who are now working from home. Do people prefer working from home? Are they more productive? Are they shifting their work schedules to better suit their lives? We wanted to know.
And fast forward to now…it’s 2021 and we are still working from home. We have new routines, updated our processes and perfected our Zoom and video conferencing chops.
Below are highlights from Metova’s 2020 survey of over 1000 employees who are new to working from home due to COVID-19.
(This survey was conducted as a followup to our April survey which found that 57% of those newly working from home due to COVID-19 would prefer to work from home in the future.)
