Metova, Inc. Adds Three Software Developers to Staff

FRANKLIN, Tenn. July 9, 2012 – Mobile app developer Metova, Inc. announced today the addition of three new software developers to the company’s ever-growing pool of tech talent: Matthew Blumenschein, Isaiah Nelson and Kevin Nguyen.

Matthew Blumenschein

Blumenschein is a 2012 graduate of Vanderbilt University. At Vanderbilt, he studied computer science and mathematics and gained Web development experience by creating a module for a “Vanderbilt Events” mobile app.

He is proficient in multiple programming languages, and is an Eagle Scout of Boy Scouts of America.

Isaiah Nelson

Nelson has three years of experience developing in C# and .NET programming languages. He joins Metova from Ingram Content Group, where he worked as a programmer and analyst, developing new software for the organization.

He also previously worked as a software engineer at Kroll Background Screening, and as a developer at Mind Over Code, a software startup company. Nelson recently graduated with a master’s in software engineering from Regis University, and holds a bachelor’s degree in cellular biology and neuroscience from Montana State University.

Kevin Nguyen

Nguyen received a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Washington.

While getting his master’s, Nguyen worked for The Boeing Company, first as a systems engineer and later as a communications engineer. At Boeing, he managed equipment for satellite communication subsystems, conducted integration testing for communication hardware and resolved technical problems.

“Though Matthew, Isaiah and Kevin all come to Metova with very different backgrounds, they all share a strong desire to improve as a developers and a willingness to learn new frameworks and languages,” said Dave Lane, director of development. “That’s a key attribute that we look for when hiring for our industry since developing for mobile is still a relatively new discipline. Matthew, Isaiah and Kevin have great technical foundations for Metova to build off of, and we look forward to seeing how they will grow as developers for our clients.

Metova, which now employs 25, has grown rapidly from its startup roots in 2006 as an early player in the mobile industry. The company’s base of full-time employee has more than doubled over the last three years. In 2011, Metova was one of only five companies in Tennessee to be listed on Inc. magazine’s list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the country.

“Our employees are a very large part of our continued success as a company, and we work hard to create an environment that helps them develop, learn and want to stay at Metova for the long haul of their careers,” said Founder and President Kevin Ross. “By retaining our employees, we’re able to grow in our capabilities and capacity to outperform our peers in the ever-changing mobile landscape.”
