Metovians participated in and had a great time at the Girls of Promise Summer Coding Summit this month!
Put on by Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and hosted at the University of Central Arkansas, the event was attended by nearly 50 middle school-aged girls.
Karen Fletcher and Chandler Gaines from Metova led attendees through modules and challenges with the micro:bit device as an introduction to software through hardware.
They also presented a lesson on the history of women in STEM (especially Tech), and the current state of Women in Technology.
