NASHVILLE, Tenn. Feb. 5, 2013 – Custom mobile application development firm Metova, Inc. announced today the addition of four mobile application developers to its team: Benjamin “Seth” Beech, Jamie Hignite, David Mays and Kalan Lee Stowe. Taylor Jackson also joined the firm as a quality assurance engineer.
Seth Beech
Beech recently received a bachelor’s of electrical engineering from Auburn University. While working for PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, a generation and transmission cooperative in Leroy, Ala., Beech installed, set up and fixed bugs in a new computer system. He also gained experience within the inventory department at Filters-NOW.com.
Jamie Hignite
Hignite previously worked on the Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) for Jacobs Technology at LOGSA. She also worked for four years developing Web applications for Yum! Brands.
Her previous experience includes stints with the Kentucky State Government, VoicePad and Thoroughbred Technologies. Hignite completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Louisville, and earned a master’s of applied information technology at Bellarmine University in Louisville.
David Mays
Mays recently graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s in software engineering. While in college, he held a software engineering internship at nfuzion, an engineering consulting group, where he developed internal software application solutions and tested and debugged customer-facing software.
For his senior project, Mays helped design a remote pond monitoring and maintenance prototype for Auburn University Fisheries. He also previously worked for Rheem Water Heating, where he performed research related to ongoing product development.
Kalan Lee Stowe
Stowe also studied software engineering at Auburn University, and for his senior project, he developed a software program to run Monte Carlo chemistry computations.
He has working knowledge of iOS and Android systems, and previously participated in iOS development of an iPhone application. He also previously worked as an electricians apprentice for Subway, converting computers into cash registers to be used in Subway stores.
“All of our new developers are proficient in multiple programming languages, but more importantly, they are all great thinkers and problem solvers,” said David Lane, vice president of technology for Metova. “Their diverse backgrounds in Web and graphic design and computer related services will complement the diverse needs of Metova’s client base.”
Taylor Jackson
As a quality assurance engineer, Jackson will test client’s mobile applications and enhance and improve the development of those apps.
Over the last year, Jackson interned with Nissan North America within the company’s talent management department where he helped facilitate the rollout of the Nissan Leaf F.A.N program. He also previously worked as a customer service merchandiser for HHGreg Appliances and as a sales associate for Lifeway Christian Bookstores.
He obtained a bachelor’s of science in business administration from Tennessee Technology University.
